Tide

Come to me
As the tide visits the shore
Overwhelm me
Fill my jagged edges
Make them whole
Crush me with your waves
Rewrite me in your current
Pour yourself into me
Drown me in your depth
Fill my lungs with your salty breath
Reassure yourself again and again
That the seashore will always
Love to hold the sea

The only fear I have is knowing that once I’ve breathed your breath, normal air will never do again.
